Reflections from Soul Valley, Sardinia

Why I Love Leading Soul Spark Retreats

It’s been a few months since our Soul Spark Retreat at Soul Valley in southern Sardinia—but the memories, the energy, and the sense of connection from that week are still alive in me.

There’s a unique rhythm that emerges on retreat—a dance between stillness and movement, solitude and togetherness. And this one, co-hosted with the incredible Joan Hyman, felt especially powerful.

Arrival in the Hills of Southern Sardinia

Soul Valley is tucked into the quiet hills about an hour from Cagliari. The road leading up to the retreat center is a bit of an adventure—a winding, bumpy ride that gently shakes you out of everyday life before you even arrive.

By the time we reached the top, we were already in a different space. Nature all around, a slower pace, and a sense of exhale.

A Light-Filled Shala with Every Detail Considered

Our days centered around movement, breath, and being fully present in one of the most beautiful shalas I’ve ever practiced in.

It was spacious, light-filled, and surrounded by huge windows that opened out to the rolling Sardinian hills. Every detail was thought through—from mats and blocks to bolsters, blankets, and more—every prop you could wish for was right there, inviting softness and support.

It was a space where people could go deep—not just into postures, but into presence.

Quisque dignissim varius est quis sodales. Aenean venenatis odio sed elementum hendrerit. In vulputate lacus vitae diam placerat, vitae varius tellus volutpat. Morbi fermentum tristique risus ut luctus. Nunc vel augue leo. Donec interdum tincidunt magna nec ornare. In porttitor augue vitae tortor lacinia, vel consectetur ligula posuere. Integer sollicitudin nibh mi, nec interdum lacus imperdiet ac.
